The Diagnosis of renal cyst and the polycystic kidney disease
Simple renal cyst can be divided into single and multiple, and the size is generally 0.5cm~10 cm. Most of the renal cysts are found during physical examination, and b-ultrasound is the preferred diagnostic method. A CT scan is used if the ultrasound scan does not confirm the nature of the cyst.
The simple renal cysts are single lumen, the wall of cyst is smooth, and the cystic fluid is thin and uniform. Consider the possibility of cancer if the walls of the capsule are different and have burrs.
Renal cysts do not disappear spontaneously, and there is no drug control. Most of them will gradually increase and increase at different speeds, usually between 0.2cm and 1.5cm each year.
Polycystic kidney and renal cyst are completely two diseases. But doctors and patients often confuse it with multiple renal cysts.
Polycystic kidney is often inherited by the family, showing as double kidney multiple cystic change. It can accompany hypertension and kidney insufficiency. And for the serious one, it can develop into uremia.
Renal cyst is the most common renal disease, but the etiology is unknown, may be related to the renal tubular deposition. The majority of renal cysts are benign lesions, namely simple renal cysts. The malignant renal cyst is also known as cystic renal carcinoma, and some may be simple renal cysts.
